About Facial Acupuncture

Acupuncture does not hurt. The needles are as fine as a strand of hair. A sensation of numbness or tingling is usually experienced during treatment but other than that, again, it does not hurt.

What to Expect

Treatment Process:

The Chinese medicine practitioner will first communicate with you, assess the condition of your face and body, and select acupuncture points based on your specific needs. After the needles are inserted, there is usually a 20-minute retention period to allow the full regulatory effects of the acupuncture to take place. Following the acupuncture session, facial gua sha with essential oils will be performed to further adjust the muscles and fascia. The combination of acupuncture and gua sha can improve blood circulation, stimulate cell regeneration, and balance the tension in facial muscles, promoting the skin’s self-renewal from within and overall improving the skin condition.
